What is Electric Studios?
Electric Studios is a new music and cultural space for Sheffield. We are a state-of-the-art music and collaborative art and working space for young creatives. We also host an eclectic mix of late-night club events, gigs, cultural events and everything in between.
We’re passionate about great music, unforgettable live experiences and putting the artist and music fan front and centre in everything we do.
What time is Electric Studios open?
The Office is open Monday to Thursday 10am-4pm, and all other times based on our events schedule.
How do I get there?
Electric Studios, 6-7 Leadmill Road, Sheffield, S1 4SE
If you are travelling by train the closest station is Sheffield. We are a no more than a 4-5 minute walk away.

Is there parking available?
There is no parking at the venue itself although close by there is a Q-Park and plenty of pay & display parking spaces. On street parking is free after 8:30pm.
I left/lost something in the venue, what do I need to do?
If you have lost items or left them in the cloakroom, please email us at info@electricstudios.co.uk Please include a description of the missing item, date of the show and your contact details. A member of the team will get in touch.
Electric Studios will store lost property for a maximum of two weeks, after this period items will be donated to local charity shops. Valuable items may be held for a longer period, and items such as passports and other forms of identification are handed to the relevant authorities if they are not collected.
Entry to the venue
In accordance with our licensing conditions Electric Studios has the right to refuse admission. Physical Photo Identification will be required for entry to the venue. Please see event details as specific events will have different guidelines and restrictions. You can always email / call us for further information.
Part of the condition of entry is that you agree to a search on arrival.
Electric Studios operates a zero tolerance drugs policy. Anyone found with illegal drugs will be banned from the venue and reported to the police. There will be additional measures on top of our search procedures that may be enacted when you visit Electric Studios, this may include drug detection methods. For your protection and for the protection of our staff, all searches are conducted under full HD CCTV with voice recording.
Age Restrictions
Live Shows are normally 14+ (under 16’s with an Adult) with anyone 14 or 15 requiring an adult over 18. All club shows are 18+, please check the ticket agent & website before purchasing tickets to confirm the age restrictions for that show.
Do I need to print my Tickets?
All tickets are normally sent as e-tickets so there is no need to print, all e-tickets must be as sent to you from the ticket agent, please do not screen shot these as they may not work on our ticket scanners.
To ensure speed of entry, please ensure you have downloaded your ticket or have the ticket agent app open ready on joining the queue.
First Aid / Medic Room
We have a designated medic room in the venue with a Freq4 medic on our club shows. If you require assistance, please see any staff member or make your way to the front of the venue where a member of our team can assist you.

Can I bring a camera?
No professional cameras (with large or detachable lenses), video cameras or tape recorders are permitted in the venue. Should you be found to have these on arrival you will be asked to either take them back to somewhere safe or be asked to deposit them in the cloakroom.
Small compact cameras are allowed unless specified on the day of the show or the T&C’s on purchasing a ticket.
iPads and/or tablet devices are not permitted to photograph or film during any performances, and you may be asked to put these into the cloakroom.
Do you have a cloakroom?
The venue has a cloakroom on the first floor.
If you are bringing a bag bigger than a handbag and items such as bike helmets, backpacks, suitcases with you then we request that these are left in the cloakroom.
Please be aware that no items will be given out from the cloakroom without the matching ticket being presented. If you have lost your ticket, you will be asked to wait until the end of the event to collect your belongings. If you are in a rush and do not want to wait, you can email info@electricstudios.co.uk during the week to arrange a time to come and collect your belongings.
Accessibility & Assistance
We advise our customers to contact the venue via telephone on 0114 403 1280 during office hours Monday to Thursday 10am-4pm or email info@electricstudios.co.uk to check availability of disabled access, supporting documents required and seating. Once the venue has confirmed availability for a free carer ticket you can purchase a ticket through our authorised ticket agents. Please then send us the confirmation of the ticket purchased via email to info@electricstudios.co.uk and we will put your name (& if required a carer) on the guestlist at the box office so that the security & guestlist / ticketing team are aware of your arrival that night. We will not send out any tickets for carers, this is operated via a list on the door for our team.
Our accessibility area is on a raised deck with handrails and a ramp for wheelchairs. Please note that Carers maybe seated behind you on stools but close by so we can accommodate all of our guests that require assisted access / seating.
We have an accessible toilet which is located to the rear of the main room to the right, with the toilet accessible by Radar key. If you do not hold this key but require access our staff and security can assist
Assistance dogs are welcome in our venue, please contact the venue in advance.
The nearest disabled parking bays are located on Paternoster Row On arrival to the venue, please join the guestlist queue & a member of our team will check your ticket and match to the guestlist, you will be wrist-banded and then shown to the
accessibility area. A staff member will always be located at the accessibility area, if you are needing any assistance, they will also hold a Radar Key if you need to access the bathroom and not holding a key.
What can I wear?
We operate a casual dress code, so jeans and trainers are allowed. If you'd like to check if a particular item of clothing is allowed - please email info@electricstudios.co.uk
Please no sportswear / football shirts
Where are the toilets located
We have male & female toilets on the ground floor and on the first floor by the cloakroom.
Can I bring in food or Drink?
Sorry no food or drink can be brought into the venue unless it is for medical reasons, there will be crisps and other snacks available on the bars.
ID Policy & Challenge 25
Electric Studios runs ID Scan, and all IDS will be subject to checks through the machine.
On club shows everyone will be required to bring Physical Photo ID. No ID No Entry.
On our live Shows the bars will enforce a challenge 25 to purchase Alcohol
Accepted forms of ID are:
- Driver’s License - full or provisional
- Valid Passport
- Citizenship Card
- PASS Card
I have contacted the venue; how long does it take to respond?
We try and respond to all emails and messages on the same day but please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
How loud will it be?
Please be aware that there will be high sound levels during shows and our guests may be subject to continuous sound levels that may cause potential damage to hearing. Free earplugs are available on all bars, from the cloakroom & at the front entry point should you require them.
The venue operates a neighbour friendly policy, when leaving the venue please make as little noise as possible.
Can I leave & re-enter through the night?
Once you have entered the venue there will be no pass outs and no re-admittance. Should you leave the venue (for any reason) you will not be able to re-enter. Please see below re smoking / vaping area.
Do you use Special Effects?
Some shows will contain strobe lighting, smoke and other special effects. Should you have any concerns please contact the venue prior to arrival or speak to a member of staff on the night.
What if I need to bring Medication?
If you need medication with you for the time you will be at the venue your medication should be in a sealed package or blister packaging, preferably with your name on it.
If you are carrying any medication which contains sharp needles, please make it known to a manager or medic on arrival. If you have any special medical related requirements, please and let us know in advance.
During a show if you require a quiet area to take medication then please see any staff member who can show you to the medic room. If you are unsure if you can bring a certain medication to the venue, please email us in advance info@electricstudios.co.uk
Is there any seating?
Reserved seating is set up for gigs in the accessibility area which needs to be prebooked with us (see above accessibility section)
For club shows there are limited stools & high tables located around the venue.

Smoking Policy
Smoking & vaping inside the venue is strictly forbidden.
Our smoking area is located at the front of the venue. The smoking area will open one hour after doors open as the area is set up in the same location as our queuing system. As we are in a residential area, please keep noise to a minimum.
Are you a cash free venue?
No, we accept all forms of debit & credit cards and cash payments.
Ask Angela?
If you are feeling unsafe, vulnerable or threatened you can discreetly seek help by approaching any venue staff member and ask them for ‘Angela’. This code-phrase will indicate to staff that you require help and our trained members of staff will then look to support and assist you. This might be through reuniting you with a friend, seeing you to a taxi, or by calling venue security.
